Based in both southern Vermont and Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, Altiplano designs and produces unique personal accessories by pairing a modern aesthetic with the traditional craft of the Mayan people. Working with many cooperative groups, small family businesses, and their own fair trade workshop, Founder Shari Zarin and her family are committed to creating innovative products that support indigenous communities and the environment.
Altiplano has been providing fair wages and long term employment to Guatemala for 30 years, while investing in education, family nutrition, environmental education and reforestation programs in the region.
