Rachael Scharf had a passion for working with clay through out her life, which then led her to attend ceramics school in Italy to study and develop her skills on the potter's wheel. She continued to return to Italy in the summers to work as a studio assistant for ceramicists from all over the world. After perfecting her technique, it was in 2013 when she founded RachaelPots in Brooklyn, New York and created her first collection of kitchen and home ceramics.
Rachael handmakes everything on the potters wheel using stoneware clay and food safe glazes, and then fires them in an electric kiln to produce her functional yet beautiful ceramic goods. Over the years she's developed her collection to include everything from entire serving sets to simple cereal bowls and mugs, as well as a special Judaica collection including seder plates and menorahs.
She creates her pieces with the mission of making each one both purposeful in its function and enjoyable to look at. RachaelPots ceramics add an elevated touch to any home.
